Wacky Hair and P.J Day!

Thursday was a fun day this week, because we were allowed to wear our Pajamas to school and we could make our hair wild and wacky!

Keep learning our school song until you don't need to read the words.

Have a go at the 'Red Nose Day' song!

Grasshoppers Tennis Tournament

Last week, we had our Grasshoppers Tennis Tournament

Congratulations to Hamish, who was our class tennis champion!

Also congratulations to Kai, who was the player of the day.

Well done to everyone who took part - we all improved our tennis skills!

Zero Waste

We had our first zero waste session on Wednesday.
We are learning how to 'reduce' waste.

If you are from Room 16, post a comment saying something that you learnt during our zero waste lessons.

Check out our Kowhaiwhai Art!

Our First Tennis Session

We had our first tennis session on Thursday. Here are our reflections:

What we learnt

 - hitting the ball - bounce the ball first

- how to hit the ball over the net

- it is hard to keep the ball on the tennis racquet

how to play kings and queens

- where to hit the ball on the racquet (direction)

- you needed to put in lots of effort

What we enjoyed

- bouncing the ball on the racquet and turning the racquet over

What else did you enjoy or learn at our tennis session?
